This is a unique locale of mirabilis var echinostoma from the southern part of Kalimantan. Unlike the more common form from the Miri region, the sajingan form have more pronounced teeth and the plants are usually pink, spotted or in rare cases, black/purple pitchers. Unfortunately this locale is now gone due to development, with the few remaining echinostoma growing in roadside drainage ditches.
I have grown these echinostoma in intermediate conditions, but I believe it will grow much faster in lowland conditions with higher light levels. This species has very thin leaves, so I would be careful about acclimation to lower humidity levels!
Like the echinostoma from the miri region, there is a low chance of introgression with mirabilis var mirabilis, although this location appears to be more dominated by echinostoma.
This clump of plants is about 3.5" in diameter from a large assortment of clones, potted in a 3.5" pot. Plant will be shipped unpotted, priority.
